Journeyman – Construction


Bopat Electric is seeking to fill a position for a Construction Journeyman. Candidate must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. The candidate will need to utilize their knowledge of Electrical and Safety requirements to perform all duties in a safe fashion and in compliance with Industry.


  • Perform daily electrical installations as directed by the foreman.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical drawings.
  • Responsible for managing and training apprentices.
  • Responsible for tracking job materials and tools.
  • Continuously improve education and knowledge of the electrical trade.
  • Enhance, and promote the company's reputation.


  • Electrical Qualifications
    • 5 or more years of experience in the Electrical Field as an experienced Electrician.
    • Possession of a Journeyman License.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints or technical diagrams.
    • Ability to manage small commercial projects.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and installing electrical systems.
    • Proficiency in wire pulling, rough ins, switch and plug installation, pipe bending (1/2"-4"), running MC, switch gear, fire alarm systems, panel installation, low voltage control, air conditioning and heating wiring.
    • Experience in maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure.
  • Physical Qualifications:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.

    • OSHA 10 Certification
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Dependable transportation
